Country music star Kane Brown is recovering after a severe golf accident left him with 23 stitches and a minor concussion. The incident occurred when a golf ball, reportedly traveling between 150 and 180 miles per hour, struck him in the ear.
Brown shared details of the event on his Instagram Stories and TikTok, including photos of his injured ear and a video update. He explained that the ball was hit by a friend, not from a stray shot across multiple fairways. While his friend felt remorseful, Brown reassured fans that he was doing well and had sought medical attention. "I’m alive and that’s all that matters," he wrote on social media.
He described the injury as a "split ear and some swelling," noting that the impact could have been far more serious had it hit his head directly. "It was about a 150 to 180 mile an hour ball, a three-wood slice," Brown recounted, adding that he had minimal time to react after his friend swung. He stated that his ear was "technically the best possible place" for the ball to hit him.
The accident forced Brown to miss the Tight End University concert on Tuesday. His wife, Katelyn Brown, also posted on social media, confirming the minor concussion and expressing relief that the situation was not more severe. Fans extended well wishes to the singer, who has three children with his wife.
