Kaley Cuoco embraced a "pink and girlie" aesthetic for the Emmys, coinciding with her pregnancy and the anticipation of welcoming a daughter.
Her longtime makeup artist, Jamie Greenberg, aimed for an ethereal and glowing look that complemented Cuoco's pink Christian Siriano gown. "We were going for girlie, pink, she’s having a girl, she’s due soon, that kind of vibe. Ethereal, glowy. Pink and girlie," Greenberg told Daily Mail.
The preparation for the event was described as a relaxed "girls' night," involving jokes, food, and catching up, rather than a stressful work session.
Greenberg detailed a seven-step process to achieve Cuoco's look:
Skin Preparation
The routine began with the CurrentBody Skin LED Light Therapy Face Mask Series 3, which Greenberg utilized for its customizable light settings to brighten Cuoco's complexion. "It just came out and it’s completely customizable to your own skin. You can personalize the colors. It’s kind of revolutionary. The greatest part of it, we did a lot of brightening. Her skin looked calmer and brighter," she said.
Following the light therapy, the d’Alba White Truffle Aromatic Spray Serum was applied. This serum, delivered as a fine mist, provided a light veil of hydration, contributing to the soft, dewy base required for the pink-toned makeup.
Color and Glow
To create a layered flush on Cuoco's cheeks, Greenberg used two shades of Yensa Super Serum Silk Buildable Cream Blush: Radiant Rose and Pink Bliss. The cream formula helped maintain a fresh appearance against the luminous base, and the combination of shades added dimension.
The Haus Labs Bio-Radiant Glassy Highlighter Balm Stick in Glassy Champagne Quartz was a key element, with Greenberg applying it not only to the cheekbones but also extending the glow to the eyes and collarbone. "We put it all over her cheeks and a little on the eye and her collarbone. It’s such a great product," she noted. The balm's texture provided a glossy sheen rather than a prominent shimmer.
Eye and Lip Details
For the eyes, Thrive Causemetics Liquid Lash Extensions Tubing Mascara was used to provide clean length and definition. This served as a base for the final lash application.
Greenberg's "secret weapon" for the eyes were the V by Velour LayZ Gal Pre-Glued Underlash Clusters, applied beneath Cuoco's natural lashes to create a seamless, natural-looking fringe. "Of course my lazy gal lashes from Velour. They have glue on them. They’re underlashes. You just stick them on the under part of your lash. They look so natural. You can’t see where they begin and end,” she explained.
The look was completed with the Make Up For Ever Artist ColorGlow Hydrating Tinted Lip Balm in Wherever Walnut Glow, a warm rose-nude shade that added definition, moisture, and shine within the evening's pink color palette.
