Hollywood actors Kaia Gerber and Homer Gere, children of iconic stars Cindy Crawford and Richard Gere respectively, recently reunited for the premiere of their new FX series, "The Shards." Their appearance at the event drew parallels to their parents' high-profile marriage in the 1990s.

Gerber, 24, and Gere, 26, are co-stars in "The Shards," a series co-created by Ryan Murphy and Bret Easton Ellis, based on Ellis's 2023 novel. The show is slated for release on FX and Hulu on August 5.

Cindy Crawford and Richard Gere were married from 1991 to 1995, a period when both were at the peak of their respective careers. Crawford, a supermodel, and Gere, an acclaimed actor, first met at a barbecue hosted by photographer Herb Ritts in the late 1980s. They eloped in 1991, sealing their union with aluminum foil rings. Crawford later described their marriage as a significant chapter, but also noted the challenges posed by their age difference, with Crawford being 22 and Gere 37 at the time of their marriage.

Crawford went on to marry businessman Rande Gerber in 1998, with whom she has two children: Kaia and Presley Gerber. Gere, who was married to his second wife Carey Lowell from 2002 to 2016, had Homer with Lowell. Gere is currently married to Spanish publicist Alejandra Silva.

Kaia Gerber has followed her mother into modeling and acting, while Homer Gere has also pursued acting roles, including a part in "Euphoria." Gerber is reportedly dating Lewis Pullman, son of actor Bill Pullman.

"The Shards" is set in an upscale preparatory school and features a cast that includes Igby Rigney and Evan Rachel Wood.
