Kai Schreiber, 17, the daughter of actress Naomi Watts, was recently observed strolling through Downtown Manhattan.

Schreiber, a budding model, was seen wearing a black mini skirt, a white-and-navy striped long-sleeved top, and pointed black stilettos. She carried a designer-style handbag and was photographed smoking a cigarette. A friend accompanied Schreiber, appearing to offer her a light.

This outing follows Schreiber's appearance on the runway for Dutch designer Iris van Herpen during Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week. She modeled a shimmering, semi-sheer embellished gown with intricate crystal detailing and a sculptural headpiece. Schreiber shared footage of her walk on Instagram, noting that she opened the show for van Herpen.

Schreiber's modeling career began with a runway debut for Valentino. She has previously spoken about how that experience solidified her desire to pursue modeling. In an interview with Interview Magazine, she stated, "That job made me realise, 'OK, this is what I want to do.' I want to be a supermodel. Period."

She also mentioned practicing runway walks for years before her first major job, recalling, "I've been practising my walks in the kitchen for years; my mum can show you all the videos I forced her to film."

Schreiber described her everyday style as more understated than her runway looks, favoring "low-rise jeans and black cardigan." She believes individuality is key to fashion's excitement.

Her parents, actress Naomi Watts and actor Liev Schreiber, have publicly supported her career. Watts has expressed pride in her daughter's achievements on social media.
