A small fire ignited in the rafters of the stage during a Kacey Musgraves concert in Boston on Friday. The incident occurred as the 38-year-old country singer performed her 2018 hit "Golden Hour" as part of her Middle of Nowhere tour.

Footage shared by concertgoer Daniel Preda showed flames flickering from a light fixture above the stage. Musgraves can be heard in the video acknowledging the fire, saying, "That looks bad. Genuinely, something's on fire." She also humorously commented on her hairspray, adding, "I have way too much hairspray to be standing under that s**t."

Despite the pyrotechnical issue, Musgraves continued with her performance, maintaining a good sport attitude. "I only like pyro when I know what's going to happen," she joked, later asking the audience if anyone had a "bedazzled fire extinguisher."

The concert also featured a tribute to the late country music icon Dolly Parton, who recently passed away at the age of 80. Musgraves performed her song "Rainbow" and a cover of Parton's 1977 hit "Here You Come Again."

Musgraves shared her thoughts on Parton via Instagram Stories, projecting an image of the singer onto a screen at the TD Garden venue. She referred to Parton as "a once-in-a-lifetime supernova of a being" and expressed sorrow over her passing. Previously, Musgraves had mourned Parton's death on X, writing, "Dolly. This really really hurts. The world feels a lot less sparkly all of a sudden."
