A Tribeca penthouse once owned by Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel briefly appeared on the market with a $39.99 million asking price before the listing was taken off-line, property sites show.

The Corcoran-listed unit at 443 Greenwich Street resurfaced Monday on StreetEasy with the nearly $40 million ask, then was removed from the site by Tuesday afternoon after The Post contacted the brokerage. The listing did not appear on Corcoran’s website and a Corcoran press representative did not immediately provide clarification when contacted.

Timberlake and Biel were among the first buyers at 443 Greenwich when the building debuted in 2017. The couple paid $20.18 million for the penthouse and sold it off-market in 2021 for $29 million to an investor tied to Menemshovitz NY Realty Inc., public records show. That investor attempted to resell the residence months after the 2021 purchase for $35 million, but no recorded sale followed.

The brief $39.99 million asking price would have been the residence’s highest ever. The Corcoran listing — while briefly visible on StreetEasy — listed Noble Black, Cory Cahlon and Matthew Mackay as the brokers. StreetEasy’s records indicate the listing was taken off-market temporarily.

443 Greenwich is a 53-unit conversion of a former book-binding factory that opened to market attention in 2017 and quickly attracted high-profile buyers. The building’s early roster of residents included actors and public figures such as Meg Ryan, Jake Gyllenhaal, Mike Myers and Jennifer Lawrence. The development appealed to affluent buyers in part for privacy features, including a sensor-activated entry to a 24-hour gated garage that allows residents to be dropped off away from the street.

Other transactions tied to the building underscore its high-end market profile: Gyllenhaal sold his unit in August for about $14 million off-market; Myers sold his unit in 2017 after buying it that same year for roughly $14.65 million; Lawrence sold a unit she had rented out in 2023 for about $9.8 million. Jennifer Gates is among current residents who occupy a triplex penthouse.

The Timberlake-Biel duplex spans roughly 5,300 interior square feet and includes a landscaped terrace of about 2,646 square feet designed by Edmund Hollander. Listing materials describe European hornbeam trees, trellised patios and a fully equipped outdoor kitchen on the terrace. Interior finishes noted in the listing include exposed wooden beams that reference the building’s industrial past, a Christopher Peacock kitchen, Savant home-automation systems, Calacatta marble bathrooms and a white oak and glass staircase connecting the duplex levels. Each of the four bedrooms has an ensuite bathroom, and the upper level opens to the terrace with a fireplace and large windows.

Market watchers and local listings did not immediately provide additional comment on why the most recent listing was withdrawn. Records show a pattern of off-market transactions for the penthouse and other units in the building, reflecting a preference among some buyers for private sales.

The unit’s brief reappearance at a record ask drew attention because it marked the highest public asking price recorded for the residence since its construction. StreetEasy’s temporary removal and the absence of a Corcoran listing left the penthouse’s immediate status unclear pending any future public filing or renewed marketing by the brokerage.
