Justin Bieber marked the seventh anniversary of his marriage to model and entrepreneur Hailey Bieber by posting a framed list of 10 "Bieber family" values that the couple has displayed in their home.
The 31-year-old pop star shared the document on social media without a caption. The list opens with "Rest as Worship" and includes entries such as "Longevity and a sustainable pace of life," "Quality and excellence of production," "INNOVATION and moving the human experience forward," "HEALTH and physical wellness as an act of stewardship," "Sustainability and creating products that serve humanity," "Servanthood and making people feel like they can fly," "Generosity and graciously giving time, money, and respect to people on our path," "Life as a gift and practice daily gratitude for the day that has been given to us," and concludes with "We value HUMAN beings and believe in their dignity and eternal worth."
The post comes seven years after Bieber and Hailey were married in a civil ceremony on Sept. 13, 2018; the couple later held a larger ceremony for family and friends on Sept. 19, 2019, in South Carolina. The anniversary post follows a recent run of images and short videos the singer has shared from a rural retreat, including rare photos of the couple's roughly 12-month-old son, Jack Blues.
In one image shared earlier, Bieber is seen carrying Jack, who wears only a diaper, while the child grasps his father's hand; another shows Jack standing on his father's lap in the passenger seat of a car looking out the windshield. Bieber has taken care in his posts to keep Jack's face turned away from the camera; neither he nor Hailey have shown the child's full face in social media images. A third image from the same campaign showed Jack resting on his father's tattooed chest while Bieber reclined on a floral sofa.
Bieber's social posts from the same period also included a range of leisure activities and informal moments. He posted footage of himself riding a Segway on a gravel road wearing only white boxer briefs, which drew a mix of amusement and criticism from followers. Other images showed Bieber playing darts and pool, wearing casual streetwear, and spending time on the water in jet skis and kayaks. In several posts he appeared offstage and relaxed, including photos of him playing basketball, floating on a lake in bright-colored outerwear, and using a rope swing. It was not clear from the posts whether Hailey or Jack accompanied him on all portions of the retreat.
The family's public visibility has shifted since Bieber released his album Swag, which included a publicity campaign featuring stylized images of the singer with his wife and son. The campaign coincided with the album's commercial release and follow-up coverage noting its success. In the days surrounding some of Bieber's more unusual posts, pop star Britney Spears reposted a black-and-white image from the Swag campaign showing Bieber shirtless with Jack crawling on him and praised the photo to her followers.
Bieber and Hailey have generally kept their young son out of the spotlight and have allowed only limited images to be shared. The framed family values post appears intended as a private statement about the couple's guiding principles as they mark another year of marriage, while Bieber's recent social-media activity has continued to mix family imagery with unvarnished glimpses of his everyday life.
