Fanatics Fest, an event created by sports retailer Fanatics, celebrated athletes, trading card culture, and fandom. The festival featured appearances from numerous notable figures, including Tom Brady, Lindsay Vonn, Serena Williams, James Harden, and Candace Parker.
On Sunday, Bieber is scheduled to co-headline the first-ever FIFA World Cup Halftime Show, joining artists such as Madonna, Shakira, and BTS. The performance is under the direction of Coldplay frontman Chris Martin. The match is set to take place at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, with broadcasts on Telemundo, FOX, and Peacock.
This halftime show is produced by Global Citizen in partnership with Live Nation and Done + Dusted. It aims to support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, with a goal of raising $100 million to increase participation in education and soccer opportunities worldwide. For every ticket sold for the matches, $1 will be allocated to the fund.
Bieber expressed his gratitude for participating in the halftime show, noting that it is already contributing to expanding educational access for children globally. Madonna emphasized the importance of education, stating that it provides opportunities and creates lasting change. Chris Martin announced the show in a video featuring Sesame Street characters, highlighting its message of unity and support for children's education.
This appearance follows Bieber's recent performances at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in April, where he made surprise guest appearances with artists like Billie Eilish and SZA. His Coachella sets included a mix of his popular songs and revisited older material, with some performances drawing mixed reactions from fans online, while others praised his innovative use of the platform.
