Julia Garner and her husband, Mark Foster, have separated after more than six years of marriage, a source confirmed to People.
The couple first met in 2013 at the Sundance Film Festival. They reconnected on Instagram five years later and began dating.
Foster, 42, proposed to Garner, 32, in 2019 during a trip to Yellowstone National Park, reading her a poem he had written before asking her to marry him. Garner later showed off an engagement ring at a "Dirty John" FYC panel in Los Angeles.
They tied the knot in December 2019 in an intimate ceremony at New York City Hall, honoring the tradition of Garner's parents who wed there 40 years prior. For their first dance, Foster performed an original song titled "Lovers in a Stream," which he wrote and produced.
"It was very surreal, and the most beautiful present I’ve ever received," Garner told Vogue in 2020. "It felt like I was floating up in the air — it was the most magical moment I’ve ever had."
Both Garner and Foster confirmed their wedding by posting a black-and-white photo on social media with the caption "12/27/19 💍."
