Singer Joss Stone experienced an emotional reunion with her family at a UK airport over the weekend, marking her return from a European tour. She was greeted by her husband, Cody DaLuz, and their four children.
A video shared by Stone on Instagram captured the moment her eldest son, Shackleton, age two, ran to embrace her, followed by his sister Violet, three. Stone then shared hugs and kisses with her husband and their two youngest children, who were in a double buggy.
Stone and DaLuz, a former Marine, are parents to Shackleton, Violet, and two younger children, Bear and Nalima Rose. The couple adopted Bear as a newborn at the end of 2024, and Stone announced her pregnancy with Nalima Rose shortly after, giving birth in June 2025. Stone has previously expressed a desire to expand their family further through adoption, telling HELLO! magazine in 2023 that they were undergoing the home study process with the hope of adopting more children.
"We're trying to do our home study. I hope we get to do it. I want, like, 25 kids," Stone said. She has spoken about the importance of adoption, noting that her husband was adopted and that she believes biological mothers who make adoption plans deserve significant gratitude for their selfless love.
Stone and her family have relocated back to her home county of Devon in the UK, having previously lived in Nashville, Tennessee, after meeting in 2020. Their move back to the UK was motivated by a desire for her children to be schooled and raised in the same idyllic environment she experienced in her childhood.
This relocation followed a period where Stone felt unsafe in her childhood home in Devon. In 2011, she was the target of a plot where two men were apprehended near her home with weapons and a body bag, intending to rob and kill her. The men were later convicted of conspiracy to murder and robbery. While Stone stated she no longer lives in fear and hopes her would-be attackers have found peace, the incident made her feel uncomfortable in her former home, leading to their departure to the United States.
