The TRIC Awards, hosted by TRIC president Dan Walker, celebrate achievements in television, radio, and online content, with categories including soap of the year, best radio talk show, sports presenter, and podcast. The ceremony took place as the UK prepared for a potential heat dome, with temperatures expected to surpass 40 degrees Celsius in some areas and parts of England placed on red alert.
Other notable attendees included Coronation Street actress Samia Longchambon, who opted for a tweed mini dress, and TV star Ashley James in a glitzy midi dress with a thigh-high split. Strictly Come Dancing professionals Katya Jones and Lewis Cope were also present, as were Hollyoaks cast members Nadine Mulkerrin, Nicole Barber-Lane, and Alex Fletcher. Emmerdale actors Jeff Hordley, Chris Bisson, and Mark Charnock were also seen on the red carpet. James Martin attended with his fiancée, Kim Johnson, displaying a noticeably trimmer frame. Love Island and Celebs Go Dating star Gabby Allen and Loose Women presenter Kaye Garraway were also in attendance.
Nominations for this year's awards included BBC's Celebrity Traitors in the Best Game Show category, and Call the Midwife and Death in Paradise competing for best Drama alongside Adolescence and Slow Horses.
