Jon Bon Jovi abruptly ended his Madison Square Garden concert early Thursday night after experiencing difficulty performing due to a sinus infection. Train frontman Pat Monahan stepped in to help carry the show, including a rendition of "Livin' on a Prayer."

A representative for Bon Jovi confirmed the early end to the show, stating that the singer informed the audience about his health setback from the stage. The performance lasted approximately 90 minutes and concluded after about 15 songs, significantly shorter than his typical over two-hour shows at the venue.

This concert marks a challenging moment in Bon Jovi's return to live performances following vocal cord surgery in 2022, a procedure that nearly ended his career. The "Forever Tour," which began with a nine-show residency at Madison Square Garden, is his first major tour since that surgery.

Bon Jovi has previously spoken about the severity of his vocal cord injury. In October 2025, he recalled realizing something was wrong after a 15-show run, leading to the discovery that one of his vocal cords had atrophied. After undergoing surgery and receiving an implant, he embarked on a lengthy recovery process, describing it as a three-and-a-half-year journey. He stated that he felt "close enough to fully recovered" by the time the "Forever Tour" was announced, driven by a desire to feel the joy of performing again.

The "Forever Tour" is scheduled to conclude on September 9 at London's Wembley Stadium.
