John Travolta's latest action film, "The Gentleman Thief," was released directly to video-on-demand on July 28. The film marks the third installment in a franchise that began with "High Rollers" in 2025 and "Cash Out" in 2024, both of which were also digital releases that received poor critical reviews.

"The Gentleman Thief" sees Travolta reprising his role as Mason Gooding, a former professional thief, alongside Lukas Haas as his on-screen brother, Shawn. The plot follows Mason as he is drawn out of retirement for a high-stakes art heist while confronting a drug kingpin. Ives returns as director, and Chris Sivertson is back as screenwriter.

The movie is available for purchase or rent on digital platforms such as Amazon Prime, Apple TV, and Fandango At Home. On Amazon Prime, renting the film costs $9.99, and purchasing it is $14.99. Renters will have 48 hours to watch the movie after starting playback.

"The Gentleman Thief" is not available on subscription streaming services like Netflix. The only digital access is through direct purchase or rental.

Additionally, "The Gentleman Thief" was slated for a limited theatrical release on Friday, July 31, 2026. However, as of the digital release date, no tickets were available for purchase, and the number and specific locations of theaters showing the film remained unclear. Listings on Fandango and the AMC app did not include "The Gentleman Thief."
