Comedian John Bishop has canceled several upcoming shows after sustaining injuries in a motorcycle accident. Bishop announced on Instagram on Thursday that he is consulting a specialist to assess his recovery.

As a result of the accident, Bishop will not be able to participate in a planned comedy gig at the Somerset County Cricket Club on September 11, where he was scheduled to perform alongside Justin Moorhouse and Sally-Anne Hayward. Jamie Cox, the chief executive of Somerset County Cricket Club, stated that all ticket holders will receive a full refund. Cox expressed disappointment but emphasized that Bishop's well-being is the priority and that he must adhere to medical recommendations.

Bishop was also expected to take part in Sir Chris Hoy's charity bike ride, an event he will now miss due to his injuries. The cricket club extended well wishes for Bishop's swift recovery and expressed hope for his return to the stage.
