Jodie Sweetin, known for her role as Stephanie Tanner on the beloved sitcom "Full House," has offered a glimpse into her current relationship with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who portrayed Michelle Tanner. Sweetin stated that while they remain on good terms with their former co-stars, the twins had a unique experience on the show due to their young age.

Speaking on Taboo’s “Comics and Kicks” podcast, Sweetin noted that the Olsen twins were approximately 8 years old when "Full House" concluded its run. "Everyone’s on good terms with them, but they were 8 years old when this show stopped," Sweetin explained. "Then they did all of those movies and all that stuff that I don’t know that they really loved doing all the time."

Sweetin, who was between the ages of 5 and 13 during her time on the show, described her years on set as her "formative years." She suggested that the twins' memories of their early childhood on set might be less vivid, stating, "Eight and earlier, you don’t remember all that much." Sweetin added that she remembers being a toddler on set, while the twins, who were younger, may not have the same recollection.

"Full House" originally aired for eight seasons from 1987 to 1995. The Olsen twins did not reprise their role as Michelle Tanner for the Netflix revival, "Fuller House," which ran for five seasons from 2016 to 2020.

Sweetin expressed understanding for the Olsen twins' decision to step away from the public eye and their acting careers. "They had so much and they were so invaded and so for public consumption, I totally understand why they don’t want to do that," she said, referencing their intense child star past. The twins, now in their 40s, went on to build a successful fashion empire with their luxury brand, The Row, and have maintained a very private personal life.

Despite their retreat from acting, the twins have maintained connections with their "Full House" family. In October 2023, John Stamos shared that Mary-Kate and Ashley attended the funeral of their on-screen father, Bob Saget. He described their reunion at the service as "so beautiful," recalling how they expressed gratitude to the cast for their shared experiences.

More recently, the twins made a rare public appearance at their older brother Trent's wedding in May. They were pictured alongside their sister Elizabeth Olsen and Ashley's husband, artist Louis Eisner. The family photo was shared by Trent and his wife, Alexis.
