Jimmy Kimmel has been indefinitely suspended by ABC after remarks about the assassination of Charlie Kirk that network executives described as crossing a line. As his late-night show remains off the air, the host’s California real estate portfolio provides a private retreat, with four properties totaling roughly $23 million in current market value, according to property records reviewed by The Post.

Two of the residences sit in Hidden Hills, an exclusive Los Angeles enclave west of Calabasas. The first is a 4,800-square-foot home with five bedrooms and five baths and a pool, purchased in 2008 for about $6 million. The neighboring dwelling, a roughly 3,000-square-foot, two-bedroom, two-bath home, was acquired in 2010 for about $1.1 million. Both homes are held in the same family trust, and public records do not disclose every inclusion or room-by-room detail.

Another Hermosa Beach property, under Kimmel’s name for more than a decade, was bought for about $2.175 million. A second Hermosa Beach residence, a four-bedroom, four-bath home about two blocks from the ocean, fetched about $2.17 million in 2006. In 2017, Daily Mail reported Kimmel purchased an additional Hermosa Beach oceanfront estate for about $8 million, described as a custom-built oceanfront home that now spans two stories after merging two houses into one. The Post has not independently verified all details of the 2017 purchase, but filings and reports place the property as a high-end Hermosa Beach compound with sweeping coastal views and a modern pool.

Together, the four properties carry a current market value of roughly $23 million, with mortgage debt totaling close to $7 million, according to Redfin estimates. The portfolio provides Kimmel with multiple private retreats as the suspension drags on and his show remains off the air.

Beyond the primary residences, Kimmel’s family footprint includes real estate holdings tied to his children and former spouse. His daughter, Katie, owns a dome-shaped property in Inyokern, Calif., listed at about $445,000. His son Kevin and Kevin’s wife Nicole recently closed on a Studio City home valued at around $2 million. Records also show Kimmel’s ex-wife, Gina, and her current husband own property in Indio, and they recently listed a Daytona Beach condo for about $519,000.

The suspension, triggered by remarks about a public killing tied to the political arena, drew swift pushback from some media groups. Sinclair Broadcast Group and Nexstar, which operate ABC affiliates, condemned the comments and, in Sinclair’s case, pressed for a direct apology to Kirk’s family and a donation to Turning Point USA.

Kimmel’s representatives did not respond to requests for comment as the network evaluates next steps for its late-night lineup. The public records summary underscores that, even amid controversy, Kimmel’s personal assets remain substantial and diversified across Southern California coastal and inland markets. The four properties, spread across the Hollywood Hills, Hidden Hills, and the South Bay, illustrate a high-end real estate footprint that has grown complex over more than a decade.

As the industry watches how ABC handles the indefinite suspension, the broader entertainment landscape continues to grapple with the balance between late-night commentary and accountability. The Post will monitor developments and any official statements from ABC or Kimmel’s representatives as this story evolves.
