Jesy Nelson and her partner, Zion Foster, shared new photographs of their newborn twins on Sunday as the couple documented early moments of family life following a complicated pregnancy and premature births.
The former Little Mix star, 34, posted images of the couple with their daughters, Ocean Jade and Story Monroe, whom they welcomed in May. In one photo Nelson pushed the twins in a double pram; in another Foster is shown singing to them as they stared back. Nelson captioned the post, "Twin life."
The twins were born at about 31 weeks after Nelson was diagnosed with twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS), a rare condition that can endanger one or both fetuses. Before being discharged, both babies received care in a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). Nelson has described the experience as overwhelming and emotionally difficult for parents.
"Nothing or no one will ever be able to prepare you as a parent for NICU," she wrote on social media, describing the experience of seeing her daughters connected to medical equipment. "It’s the most scary overwhelming feeling of emotions not being able to feel like you can protect your babies. . . Having them reunited for the first time ever today was the most magical feeling I will never be able to describe. The strongest little girls I’ve ever known."
Nelson underwent an emergency procedure in March after suffering complications and was advised by doctors to remain in hospital until at least 32 weeks of pregnancy. Foster, 26, told OK! magazine that the couple had drawn closer during the ordeal. "I think it's at these times when you really, really know what love you have and what your relationship means," he said. He added that the pair had tried to make the hospital room as comfortable as possible, arranging a couch that converted into a bed next to Nelson's hospital bed so they could stay together while the pregnancy continued.
The couple announced they were expecting twins in January, following reports that they had split. Nelson and Foster have since been photographed together with the children and have posted updates about the twins' progress. According to accounts of Foster's background included in recent reporting, he was born and raised in a Nigerian household in south London, grew up listening to gospel music, and later developed an interest in R&B and rap before releasing his own music online via SoundCloud.
Nelson rose to fame as a member of Little Mix and has maintained a public profile while navigating health challenges during her pregnancy and the early weeks of parenthood. The twins’ premature arrival and subsequent NICU care reflect a period of heightened medical attention for the family; both parents have publicly acknowledged the emotional strain and relief of the babies’ improving condition. The couple’s recent social posts mark one of their first public displays of life with the twins since their hospital stay.
