Jessie J and Pixie Lott stepped out in satin at the Self Belief Trust gala dinner at The Dovetale in London on Wednesday to honor the late Jamal Edwards. The Price Tag singer, 37, who is preparing for a second breast cancer operation, led the star-studded event, turning heads in a cobalt blue satin figure-hugging midi dress with spaghetti straps. She styled the look with an array of gold accessories, including sandal heels, a chainmail handbag, bangle cuffs and oversized drop earrings. During the evening, Jessie delivered a surprise performance of Who You Are and had the crowd singing along to her hit Price Tag.

Pixie Lott, 34, arrived in a baby pink mini dress featuring a ribbed racer-neck top and a satin skater skirt. She completed the ensemble with transparent, bejewelled slingback heels and performed at the event, bringing a polished, modern silhouette to the gala.

The event was staged to honor Jamal Edwards’s legacy and raise money for his Self Belief Trust, which offers young people skills, opportunities and mental health support. Jessie was photographed posing with Jamal’s mother Brenda Edwards and his younger sister Tamisha, underscoring the personal connections at the fundraiser. Other guests included Dame Arlene Phillips, Denise Welch, Vas J. Morgan, Tim Campbell MBE and Big Narstie. Attendees were treated to live music from Emeli Sandé, Pixie Lott, Wretch 32 and West End star Alexia Khadime, with DJ sets from Laura Pradelska and acclaimed producer Jess Bays.

Prior to the gala, Ed Sheeran joined Brenda Edwards and artist Lincoln Townley for a photo moment, during which Townley’s artwork was auctioned on the night for more than £100,000. Ed and Brenda also sampled a Jamal-inspired cocktail, described in reports as a playful nod to the late entrepreneur, and sampled a signature chicken dish in his honor.

Jessie J’s appearance at the event comes amid a recent return to the stage after she spent months navigating breast cancer. The singer had performed earlier this month at BBC Radio 2 In The Park in Chelmsford, Essex, marking her first live appearance since her treatment began. Observers noted her cobalt blue satin dress and the choice of gold accents contributed to an aura of refined resilience as she took the stage to a warm reception.

At the Self Belief Trust dinner, Jessie spoke candidly about her journey, explaining that she underwent breast cancer surgery about 11 weeks prior and remains in recovery while grateful for the chance to perform again. She emphasized the importance of gratitude and said that music has been a source of healing through the tough days. She also revealed that her two-year-old son Sky was backstage watching his mother perform for the first time.

The performance of Living My Best Life, a song Jessie described as deeply personal, followed. She explained that the track emerged during her recovery and carries a message of perseverance: life is about standing in the storm and moving forward. She dedicated the song to those who rely on music for comfort and motivation, noting that she wants her art to offer support on difficult days. The evening’s program and the attendees underscored the Trust’s mission to provide skills training, opportunities and mental-health support for young people, carrying forward Jamal Edwards’s vision of empowerment through creativity.
