Jess Wright has revealed she is hesitant to have a second child due to the emotional toll of her son Presley's congenital heart condition diagnosis. The former The Only Way Is Essex (TOWIE) star shared on her podcast, 'Wright At Home,' that the experience has left her with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Presley, now four, was diagnosed with bicuspid aortic valve in August 2024. This condition affects approximately one percent of the population, meaning the heart valve has two leaflets instead of the usual three. Wright stated that while she desires a sibling for Presley, she is currently "too scared" to pursue another pregnancy, describing the past four years as being "out of the trenches."

She explained that Presley's health issues have been particularly challenging, leading to what she described as "a bit of PTSD from the beginning of it and his heart condition." Wright recounted an instance during filming for 'Cooking With The Stars' where she became overwhelmed with emotion discussing Presley's condition, revealing the pent-up stress she had been experiencing.

Despite the emotional challenges, Wright shared a positive update from April, stating that Presley is "defying all the odds" as doctors have noted a rare improvement in his condition. This news came after two years of rigorous check-ups.

"The other day the doctor said that actually his has reduced which is really, really rare, it doesn’t happen often," Wright said on a podcast episode, becoming emotional. "He’s doing really, really well."

Her mother, Carol, confirmed the positive outcome, stating, "It went really well, and they got good news that it’s improved. He’s going to be ok he’s such a strong boy."

However, Wright acknowledged that the family remains vigilant. "We just have to hope and pray that his heart sustains where it is at the moment because at the moment it’s ok. It’s just that we’re close to the level of where it will need operating on," she added. She emphasized that despite his condition, Presley remains active and energetic.
