Jess Wright, 40, became emotional in a recent Instagram post as she spoke about her appearance and the difficulties of maintaining a fitness routine while being a mother. The former star of "The Only Way Is Essex" (TOWIE) shared a relatable video on Friday, filmed in her car, where she reflected on the pressures of aging and motherhood.
"Me just casually thinking about the fact I'm suddenly 40, my hair is thinning, I need Botox or some sort of face lift," Wright wrote in the post. She also mentioned the perceived ineffectiveness of her four weekly gym sessions for her appearance and jokingly referred to retail therapy as a solution to her problems. She added the challenge of balancing work and being a mother to her reflections.
Her followers responded with messages of support, calling her "so relatable" and reassuring her that she "still looks amazing." Jesy Nelson commented, "Still absolutely beautiful though."
This candid discussion follows Wright's previous revelation about undergoing secret breast reduction surgery just before Christmas last year. She had her implants removed, having originally had a boob job documented on TOWIE in 2011, reducing her cup size from a 32DD to a C cup.
Wright explained to Closer magazine that she was "so sick of my big boobs" and felt restricted in her clothing choices. She advised against implants for those with naturally well-proportioned breasts, citing concerns about having "foreign bodies" in her body as she got older. She expressed a desire to "be me again" and not worry about potential health implications for a future daughter.
She also noted that her recovery from the surgery was challenging while caring for her two-year-old son, Presley, whom she shares with her husband, William Lee-Kemp. Wright indicated a desire to "go back to her roots" and is embracing her natural darker hair color.
In 2016, Wright had expressed dissatisfaction with her initial breast augmentation, stating that two surgeons had refused to perform a reduction. She felt the implants were too large and that fashion had changed since her initial procedure. Wright also expressed regret about having her boob job featured on TOWIE, advising young people to wait until they are older before considering cosmetic surgery and voicing disapproval of early lip fillers and other procedures.
Despite feeling she "could probably do with something" cosmetically, Wright stated she avoids a "fake look" and prefers to maintain a natural appearance. She acknowledged that while her lips are naturally full, she might have considered fillers if she had thinner lips due to societal pressures.
