Jesinta Franklin, a model and wife of Australian Rules Football player Lance 'Buddy' Franklin, has undergone surgery to address swollen and leaking veins in her legs, a condition she attributes to her pregnancies.
Franklin, 34, shared her experience on Instagram, revealing that she had delayed treatment for five years due to the demands of motherhood. She described experiencing pain and discomfort, including swelling and bruising around her ankle from a leaking vein.
"You know what's not spoken about enough? HOW much our bodies go through to bring life into the world and the long-term impact pregnancy and birth can have on our bodies," Franklin wrote. She added that a significant challenge of motherhood is making time for oneself and prioritizing personal health and well-being.
Franklin, who recently welcomed her third child, Bam, in December, stated that one of her goals for the year is to take better care of herself and to stop postponing important health matters. "No more pushing through. No more simply putting up with things because everyone else's needs come first," she asserted.
The couple, married since 2016, are also parents to daughter Tallulah, six, and son Rocky, five. In October, Franklin had previously discussed the difficulties of her third pregnancy, noting that she had spent approximately 10 weeks on bed rest.
She expressed gratitude for having navigated that challenging period and coming out on the other side.
