Jennifer Love Hewitt has lightened her locks for the upcoming 10th season of ABC's "9-1-1." The actress revealed her new blond hair in an Instagram video last week, showing her running her fingers through her freshly colored hair.
"Season 10 hair ready! Let’s go!" Hewitt captioned the clip, crediting her team at Nine Zero One salon in Los Angeles. The colorist, Nikki Lee, named the shade “Sunset Lover.”
Hewitt, a natural brunette, first adopted a copper-red color for the show in May 2025, which she maintained through Season 9. Fans had previously expressed a desire for her to stay with a lighter shade after she experimented with honey blond during the show's hiatus in April.
"We're keeping the blond — we heard you guys," Hewitt said in an Instagram Story with Lee. This marks the third distinct hair color for her character, dispatcher Maddie Han, over the past three seasons.
The social media reaction to Hewitt's new blond look was largely positive, with commenters praising her versatility. One user wrote, "Gorgeous then, super gorgeous now," while another added, "You can do no wrong. You're a badass."
In the Season 9 finale, Maddie Han received a promotion at the call center, taking over leadership responsibilities from her boss, Sue, after Sue suffered a stroke. "9-1-1" is set to return for its 10th season this fall on ABC.
