Jennifer Lopez visited the Los Angeles offices of her ex-husband Ben Affleck on Monday, arriving with filmmaker Ridley Scott and exchanging a side hug with the director as she left. The visit took place at Affleck’s production company headquarters and was brief; Affleck was not seen departing with them.
The 56-year-old singer and actress wore a deep burgundy velour ensemble with a cropped jacket and wide-leg pants and carried a crocodile-embossed clutch. Photographs show Lopez meeting Scott in a parking garage, shaking hands with another woman and offering the director a short hug before walking away smiling.
Affleck, 53, was not photographed leaving with Lopez and Scott. In recent days he was seen shopping with his youngest son, Samuel, 13; earlier, Lopez had been photographed taking Samuel on a shopping outing. Lopez and Affleck were married in 2022 and finalized their divorce in January after she filed in August 2024.
Affleck works with longtime friend Matt Damon at Artists Equity, the production company that has been involved with projects featuring both actors. The company was among the producers of Lopez’s most recent film, Kiss of the Spider Woman. Affleck and Damon also star opposite one another in the action film The Rip, scheduled to debut on Netflix on Jan. 16, 2026.
Lopez, who is also mother to 17-year-old twins Emme and Max, was previously a stepmother to Affleck’s children—Violet, 19, Fin, 16, and Samuel—during their marriage. In April, Affleck praised Lopez’s ongoing relationship with his children, saying she is “spectacular, great to my kids” and expressing gratitude for her role in their blended family.
The meeting comes after the couple began the process of selling their Bel-Air home last year; reports indicate Lopez remains living in the roughly $68 million property about a year after it was listed. Representatives for Lopez, Affleck and Scott did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
The brief encounter underscores ongoing professional and personal ties among the parties involved: Lopez continues to work on film projects with producers linked to Affleck and Damon, and both she and Affleck have spoken publicly about maintaining positive relations with each other’s children following their divorce.
