Jennifer Lopez captivated attendees at the Vogue World event in Milan, channeling old Hollywood glamour in a striking black strapless gown by Dolce & Gabbana. The celebrity-studded affair coincided with the start of Milan's Fashion Week and was held at the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, a historic shopping arcade in Italy.
Lopez, 57, arrived in a dramatic low-cut corset-style dress, complemented by sheer gloves, a statement silver and emerald necklace, and pointed heels. She was accompanied by designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana as she departed her hotel for the venue.
The event, themed "craftsmanship and the human touch" in the age of technology, drew numerous notable figures from fashion and entertainment. Among the attendees were Dakota Johnson, Heidi Klum, Naomi Campbell, Monica Bellucci, and Pamela Anderson, many of whom also opted for chic black ensembles or elegant gowns.
Vogue's global editorial director, Anna Wintour, highlighted Milan's significance as a center for craftsmanship where heritage meets modernity. The event aimed to showcase the enduring story of "Made in Italy" through performances focusing on Italian craftsmanship and innovation. Musical collaborations with the Teatro alla Scala Chorus were part of the program, with "special guests" also slated to appear.
Proceeds from the event are designated for the redevelopment of the Quarto Oggiaro Library in northwestern Milan. Following the main runway show, a lifestyle hub called the Vogue Café was scheduled to open at the Palazzo dei Giureconsulti from Thursday to Saturday.
Milan marks the fifth iteration of Vogue's global fashion spectacle, which began in New York in 2022. Previous editions have been held in London and Paris, with the Los Angeles event in 2023 featuring a surprise catwalk appearance by Nicole Kidman. The entire Milan event was accessible globally via livestream on Vogue's website. The strapless corset-style number was teamed with chic sheer gloves, a statement silver and emerald necklace and pointed heels to boost her height.
