Jennifer Lopez captivated attendees at Vogue World: Milano on Tuesday, arriving in a show-stopping 74-carat Dolce & Gabbana necklace. The event, held in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, marked the opening of Milan Fashion Week and celebrated Italian fashion, craftsmanship, and creativity.
Lopez, 57, made a memorable appearance when she was guided from her front-row seat by a male model, twirling in the center of the venue. The move prominently displayed the elaborate white gold and diamond necklace, which features a significant Paraiba tourmaline.
The exquisite piece is from Dolce & Gabbana's Alta Gioielleria collection. The central Paraiba tourmaline in the necklace weighs 74.459 carats and is sourced from Mozambique. Previously, the necklace was worn by Lady Kitty Spencer, Princess Diana's niece, who donned it last October while accepting an award on behalf of the brand's jewelry line.
Lopez paired the statement necklace with a black tulle corset gown, also by Dolce & Gabbana. Her ensemble was completed with sheer black opera gloves, pointed slingback pumps, and matching diamond and white gold earrings and a ring.
The Vogue World event, hosted for the first time in Italy, aimed to highlight the intersection of fashion and technology. Anna Wintour, Condé Nast's chief content officer and Vogue's global editorial director, emphasized Milan's unique blend of tradition and modernity. "Bringing Vogue World here will be our biggest celebration yet of fashion’s human touch," Wintour stated.
The lavish affair served as a fundraiser for a neighborhood library in the Quarto Oggiaro district and drew a host of celebrities, including Pamela Anderson, Dakota Johnson, and Heidi Klum. Cardi B and Alicia Keys also made appearances on the runway.
