Jennifer Garner was seen on the Santa Monica set of Netflix's reimagining of the 2004 romantic comedy "13 Going on 30." Garner, 54, is executive producing the project.

She was joined on set by actresses Judy Greer and Emily Bader. Greer, 51, also starred in the original film as Garner's character's frenemy, Lucy Wyman. It remains unclear if Greer and Bader will reprise their roles or portray new characters in the reimagining.

The original "13 Going on 30," directed by Gary Winick, followed Jenna Rink as she wished to be "30 and flirty and thriving" and woke up 17 years in the future. The 2004 film, which grossed $96 million against a $37 million budget, featured a cast including Mark Ruffalo, Andy Serkis, Brie Larson, and Ashley Benson.

The original story flashed back to 1987 (pictured), but Bader will likely flash back to 2009 in director Brett Haley's reboot, which began filming last month

Filming for the reboot, directed by Brett Haley, began last month. The new ensemble cast includes Adeline Rudolph, Logan Lerman, Jessica Alba, Taylor Ortega, Tim Meadows, and Dan Bucatinsky. Haley described "13 Going on 30" as "one of those rare, perfect films. Funny, emotional, [and] deeply human." He expressed the responsibility he feels in reimagining the movie and called Garner's involvement as an executive producer "especially meaningful."

On Monday, Garner publicly wished Greer a happy birthday by hopping on the viral trend where someone pretends to shoot a Netflix documentary

Last April, Garner spoke to Variety about the possibility of a "13 Going on 30" reboot, stating her desire to participate if it were to happen. She noted the connection she felt to her character, Jenna Rink, and expressed enthusiasm for a young actress to have a similar magical experience with the story. Greer added that she would do "anything that Jennifer Garner asked me to do."

Meanwhile, "13 Going on 30: The Musical," with music by Alan Zachary and Michael Weiner, is scheduled to run from December 1 to January 24 at the Princess of Wales Theatre in Toronto, Canada.
