Jennifer Aniston’s new children’s cookbook, Cook With Clydeo, went on sale Tuesday and has drawn attention for its embrace of comfort foods — including pizza, lasagna and Mexican dishes — even as the book is marketed to young cooks.
The collection, framed by a fictional dog named Clydeo, offers step-by-step recipes and kitchen-safety tips aimed at families. Aniston told People, "The recipes are simple but delicious, and my hope is that families will enjoy trying these new dishes and have fun while doing it. Bon appetit!" An Amazon description of the title notes it includes "Jennifer Aniston's Easy Enchilada Bites, Clydeo's Legendary Lasagna, and more!" and promises "funny sidebars from Clydeo on how to add even more pizzazz to a meal."
One of the highlighted recipes in media coverage is Aniston’s Easy Enchilada Bites. The published directions call for cutting 24 rounds from eight 8-inch flour tortillas, brushing one side with oil and pressing them into muffin wells to form small cups. A filling of shredded Cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese is combined with enchilada sauce and diced onion, spooned into the tortilla cups, baked at 350°F for 20 to 25 minutes until cheese melts and tortillas are golden, and finished with crumbled Cotija cheese and store-bought guacamole for serving. The recipe lists ingredient amounts and yields 24 bites; the notes on the recipe say the snacks serve 12 people if each person eats two bites.
The book’s focus on indulgent, crowd-pleasing recipes has prompted commentary because the dishes are not presented as diet- or calorie-conscious. Reporting has noted that the small, bite-size portions may be part of the approach to moderation in an otherwise rich lineup. The book is the latest entry in Aniston’s work for families: HarperCollins said it will follow Cook With Clydeo with Clydeo Versus Peanut Butter later this year and Clydeo Makes a Friend in winter 2026, expanding a four-book deal that began with Aniston’s October 2024 children’s book Clydeo Takes a Bite Out of Life.
Publishers and retailers promoting the cookbook emphasize accessibility for young cooks. Amazon’s description highlights easy-to-follow instructions, kitchen safety tips and short anecdotes from Aniston about mishaps and triumphs in her own kitchen, saying the book is intended to "empower any kid to grab an apron and take a bite out of life, just like Clydeo!"
Aniston, 56, who has been a frequent subject of coverage about her appearance and wellness routine, has previously discussed beauty treatments in interviews. In a group interview with Glamour, in which she appeared with fellow cast members from The Morning Show, Aniston said she gets "facials and the lasers and all that good stuff" and described herself as "maintained." She has also discussed peptide injections and, in earlier interviews, expressed reservations about heavy cosmetic alteration. In past interviews cited by media outlets, she has said she has tried procedures such as peptide injections and has experimented with treatments she described as a salmon sperm facial, while at other times denying having had major cosmetic surgery.
Cook With Clydeo continues a recent stretch of projects for Aniston, who remains a prominent figure in television and publishing. The cookbook ties into a broader trend of celebrities producing family-oriented lifestyle and food books while leveraging familiar public personas. HarperCollins and Aniston’s publishing partners have positioned the Clydeo series as both a culinary guide and a character-driven franchise for children.
The cookbook’s release has spurred conversation about portioning and the kinds of recipes presented to young home cooks, with reviewers and readers noting the balance between teaching fundamental kitchen skills and featuring traditionally indulgent American comfort foods. Aniston’s approach, combining accessible techniques with rich flavors, reflects the book’s stated aim of encouraging family cooking and play in the kitchen rather than promoting a specific dietary regimen.
Cook With Clydeo is available through major retailers. Subsequent Clydeo titles are scheduled by HarperCollins, which described the forthcoming volumes as continuations of the character’s culinary and social adventures for young readers and families.
