Jennifer Aniston was left stunned when Reese Witherspoon revealed her birth name is Laura Jean Reese Witherspoon, not Reese Witherspoon, during LADBible's Do You Even Know Me? segment on the actresses' Apple TV+ promo tour for The Morning Show season four.
The 56-year-old Aniston and 49-year-old Witherspoon have been friends since Witherspoon's guest appearance on Friends in 2000.
In the clip from the interview, Witherspoon posed a multiple-choice question about her real middle name, asking which is correct: Jane, Jean or Joan. Aniston guessed Jane.
Witherspoon then revealed the correct answer would have been Jean, and added that her real name is Laura Jean Reese. She explained that Laura is her first name, and Reese is a middle name she has used professionally since the start of her acting career.
Aniston reacted with disbelief, asking who Laura is and noting that she will not call Witherspoon by that name going forward. Witherspoon reiterated that Laura Jean Reese is her full name and confirmed the switch to Reese as her professional moniker.
The exchange also included Aniston sharing her own middle name, Jennifer Joanna Aniston, which surprised Witherspoon.
The Morning Show season four premiered on September 17, with new episodes dropping each Wednesday. Ahead of the premiere, the Emmy-winning show has already been greenlit for a fifth season.
