Jennifer Aniston, 56, made a brief public appearance in New York City on Wednesday wearing a sleeveless black mini dress as she arrived to promote the fourth season of The Morning Show.
Aniston stopped inches above the knee in a ruffled-hem dress, paired with open-toed black heels, gold-hooped earrings and fashionable sunglasses. Her hair fell in light waves past her shoulders and her makeup included voluminous lashes, a warm blush and a nude glossy lip. The actress was en route to an appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert as part of promotional duties for the Apple TV+ series, which returns with new episodes beginning Sept. 17.
Earlier in the week, Aniston attended the season-four premiere at the Museum of Modern Art in Manhattan, where she was joined by her companion, hypnotherapist Jim Curtis, who kept a low profile during the star-studded event. Video and photographs captured Aniston exiting a vehicle and posing for photographers before entering the venue; Curtis remained inside the car until she was out of sight and was later seen watching from a distance.
Aniston portrays newsroom anchor Alexandra "Alex" Levy on The Morning Show and also serves as a producer on the series. Speaking to People in July, she described the program as "just a beast to film," saying it is "layered, it's complicated, it's emotional, it hits on a lot of topics and current events, so let's just say, it's not Friends." She added that both she and co-star Reese Witherspoon, who also produces the show, are "involved in every single aspect of the show, on top of just the performance side."
The Morning Show, which debuted in 2019, has earned multiple industry recognitions, including two Emmy Awards. Aniston won a Screen Actors Guild Award in 2020 for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series. The fourth season adds new cast members Jeremy Irons and Marion Cotillard to the ensemble that includes Reese Witherspoon, Billy Crudup and Jon Hamm.
Aniston has been active on social media in recent days as part of the promotional cycle. She posted a series of Instagram photos over the past weekend that included an image photographed from behind a man's left shoulder as he looked toward a sunset on the water; the image drew a strong reaction from fans. Reports earlier this year indicated Aniston and Curtis had been spending significant time together; neither Aniston nor Curtis has issued a formal public statement about their relationship.
Aniston's public appearances follow a high-profile career spanning film and television. She rose to household recognition on the NBC sitcom Friends and has since taken on both dramatic and comedic roles in film and streaming projects. Her current work on The Morning Show represents a sustained effort in serialized, topical drama and includes responsibilities behind the camera as a producer.
The Morning Show's fourth season premiere date on Sept. 17 will be followed by promotional appearances and interviews from the cast in the coming days, as the series continues its awards-season aspirations and public rollout.
