Jennifer Aniston, 56, stepped out in New York City on Wednesday wearing a sleeveless black mini dress as she promoted the upcoming fourth season of The Morning Show and arrived for an appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. The Apple TV+ series, which also stars Reese Witherspoon, Billy Crudup and Jon Hamm, is scheduled to begin airing episodes Sept. 17.
Aniston’s dress stopped inches above the knee and featured a ruffled hem; she completed the look with open-toed black heels, oversized sunglasses and gold hoop earrings. Her makeup included voluminous lashes, a warm blush and a nude glossy lip.
The outing followed a star-studded premiere for the fourth season at the Museum of Modern Art earlier in the week. Aniston attended the MoMA event and was accompanied by Jim Curtis, identified in press reports as a hypnotherapist, who kept a low profile during the red-carpet festivities. Video obtained by outlets showed Aniston exiting a black SUV and pausing for photos while Curtis remained in the vehicle; later coverage showed him watching from the sidelines as she posed on the carpet.
Aniston plays Alex Levy on The Morning Show and is also credited as a producer. Speaking to People in July, she described the series as "a beast to film," saying it is "layered, it's complicated, it's emotional, it hits on a lot of topics and current events," and noting it is not like her earlier sitcom, Friends. She added that she and fellow producer-performer Reese Witherspoon are "involved in every single aspect of the show, on top of just the performance side."
The Morning Show debuted in 2019 and has received multiple award nominations and wins, including two Emmy Awards. Aniston won a SAG Award in 2020 for outstanding performance by a female actor in a drama series. The fourth season’s new cast additions include Jeremy Irons and Marion Cotillard.
Promotion for the series has coincided with renewed attention to Aniston’s personal life. The actress and Curtis sparked romance speculation in July and have not publicly confirmed their relationship. Aniston posted a carousel of images on Instagram in recent days that included a photo taken from behind a man’s shoulder on a boat; the image prompted a flurry of fan comments. A Daily Mail item in August quoted an unnamed insider saying the pair "do everything together" and describing their relationship as intense.
Aniston’s publicity schedule this week, including television appearances and the New York premiere, underscores the continued visibility of The Morning Show as it returns for a new season that expands its cast and continues to engage discussions about the media industry and topical issues the series addresses.
