Jennie Garth has shared her feelings about her former "Beverly Hills, 90210" co-star Tori Spelling's decision to leave their joint rewatch podcast. Garth stated she is "sad" that Spelling will not be completing the podcast, titled "9021OMG," with her after six years.

"I'm sad that she's not finishing this out with us. We started this together and I'm sad about that, if I'm honest, which I always am," Garth said during a recent episode, adding that she is also "really happy for [Spelling] ... to choose herself."

Producer Amy Sugarman confirmed that Spelling's exit was her own decision, made about two weeks prior. "This was 100 percent her decision," Sugarman stated. "And look, two things can be true: we can be really bummed and disappointed that she's not going to do Seasons 9 and 10 with us, while still wanting her to be happy and to be excited for her about the things she's working on and does want to do."

Sugarman also addressed fan inquiries about Spelling's absence, noting that the timing of the announcement was a joint decision. Garth encouraged listeners to continue following the podcast, hinting at special guests who would join for the rewatch of Seasons 9 and 10 of the original series.

Spelling, 53, had announced her departure via an Instagram Live session the previous day. She told former co-star Brian Austin Green during the live stream that she wished to pursue other projects.

Garth, 54, and Spelling starred as Kelly Taylor and Donna Martin, respectively, in the iconic teen drama "Beverly Hills, 90210," which aired from 1990 to 2000. They reprised their roles in the 2019 series "BH90210" and launched the "9021OMG" podcast in November 2020. In October 2020, Spelling had spoken to People about the podcast's origins, describing it as a "girlfriends podcast" blended with "90210" content, reflecting their three-decade-long friendship and shared experiences as women and mothers.
