Jennie Garth has shared her feelings about Tori Spelling’s decision to leave their joint “Beverly Hills, 90210” rewatch podcast, "9021OMG," after nearly six years.

During a recent episode of the podcast, Garth announced that Spelling would not be finishing the series with her. "I’m sad that she’s not finishing this out with us. We started this together and I’m sad about that, if I’m honest," Garth told listeners. She also clarified that she was "really happy for [Spelling] … to choose herself."

Producer Amy Sugarman, who co-hosts the podcast, noted that Spelling’s exit was her own decision and that it was likely difficult for her. "About two weeks ago, she made the decision, which I’m sure was a very tough decision for her, but she let us know about two weeks ago that she had decided she wasn’t going to continue with the podcast," Sugarman said. "This was 100 percent her decision." Sugarman added that while she and Garth are "bummed and disappointed," they want Spelling to be happy and excited about her future endeavors.

The podcast hosts had collectively decided to announce Spelling's departure on that day. Sugarman confirmed that Spelling revealed her choice to step away from the podcast via an Instagram Live session. She reportedly shared this news with former "Beverly Hills, 90210" co-star Brian Austin Green, stating her intention to pursue other projects.

Garth, 54, encouraged fans to continue listening, promising special guests to help recap Seasons 9 and 10 of the iconic series.

Spelling and Garth, who played Donna Martin and Kelly Taylor, respectively, on "Beverly Hills, 90210" from 1990 to 2000, launched their rewatch podcast in November 2020. They reprised their roles for the 2019 revival, "BH90210." In a 2020 interview, Spelling described their decades-long friendship as a constant in their lives, a bond they wanted to share with fans through the podcast.
