Jason Bateman was photographed in a rare public outing in Beverly Hills on Saturday, walking with his wife, Amanda Anka, and one of their teenage daughters as they headed to the Italian restaurant E Baldi.

The sighting came as Bateman continues to promote his new Netflix limited series Black Rabbit, which he premiered with co-star Jude Law at the TIFF Lightbox in Toronto. Black Rabbit, created by Kate Susman and Zach Baylin, follows two brothers at the center of New York City's high-pressure nightlife scene and is scheduled to hit Netflix on Sept. 18.

Photographs from the outing show Bateman, 56, crossing a street with Anka, 56, and one of their daughters. The couple were accompanied by their daughters Francesca, 18, and Maple, 13, on earlier festival appearances. Bateman and Anka were married on July 3, 2001; Anka is the daughter of singer Paul Anka and Anne de Zogheb.

On-screen, Bateman plays Vince opposite Jude Law’s Jake Friedkin in Black Rabbit. The series is described by its creators as a character-driven thriller that examines how family ties and the pursuit of success can fracture lives. Bateman and Law appeared at festival events to promote the limited series ahead of its streaming release.

Bateman is known for his television roles as Michael Bluth on Arrested Development and Marty Byrde on Ozark, and has received a Primetime Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award during his career, along with a Directors Guild of America nomination. In interviews, he has discussed personal challenges earlier in his life; in a 2009 interview he said he had struggled with alcohol and drug use in his twenties and early thirties.

The Beverly Hills sighting was brief and took place as the family walked toward dinner. Outfit details noted by photographers showed Bateman in an olive green button-down over a black T-shirt and dark slacks, while Anka wore a black vest and Capri slacks; the daughters were photographed in dresses and strappy heels.

Black Rabbit’s festival appearances and the family sighting mark a concentrated period of publicity for Bateman as the series prepares to debut widely on Netflix. The limited series will be available to stream beginning Sept. 18.
