Jamie Foxx's daughter, 17-year-old Anelise Bishop, made her public debut alongside her father at the 2026 BET Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday. The aspiring musician not only walked the red carpet with Foxx but also joined him on stage for a performance.
Anelise, Foxx's second child whom he shares with former girlfriend Kristin Grannis, displayed a distinct personal style. She wore a tuxedo jacket, white shirt, wide-leg pants, and a slim black bowtie, accessorized with narrow black sunglasses and styled with curly, light brown hair. Foxx, meanwhile, opted for a Gucci monogrammed shirt, blazer, and slacks. The father-daughter duo later changed into coordinating burgundy outfits.
On stage, they performed the intro to Kehlani's song "Folded," with Anelise playing the guitar and Foxx accompanying her on the piano.
This appearance follows Foxx's public discussions about his health. In his 2024 Netflix special, "What Happened Was…," the actor revealed he suffered a stroke from a brain bleed in 2023, which caused him to lose his memory for 20 days. He described Anelise as his "spiritual defibrillator," recounting how her presence with her guitar in his hospital room inexplicably lowered his vitals when medical interventions were not working. He credited her with helping him through the ordeal.
Anelise is Foxx's second child. He also has an older daughter, Corinne Foxx, 32, from a previous relationship. It was recently reported that Foxx is expecting a third child, his first with girlfriend Alyce Huckstepp.
