Actress Jaime Winstone has been announced as the eighth celebrity contestant for the 2026 season of Strictly Come Dancing.

The news was revealed on Thursday via the official social media channels for the BBC show. Winstone, 41, expressed her excitement about joining the cast, stating, "I am no stranger to a dance floor, but the ballroom is a whole new world for me. I love a challenge though, so can’t wait to enter my showgirl era and get super sparkly!! Let’s get physical – see you on the dance floor!"

Winstone, daughter of actor Ray Winstone, began her acting career in 2004. Her film credits include "Made in Dagenham," "Bullet Boy," "Tomb Raider," and "Wild Bill." On television, she has appeared in "Dead Set," "Torvill & Dean," "Poirot," "Mad Dogs," "Count Abdulla," and the BBC drama "Four Lives."

She garnered significant acclaim for her portrayal of Barbara Windsor in the BBC biopic "Babs." Winstone later reprised Windsor's iconic role of Peggy Mitchell in "EastEnders" during flashback sequences, most recently for the soap's 40th-anniversary special, an episode that won the British Soap Award for Best Single Episode.

Beyond her acting work, Winstone has had a career in modeling and performed in the West End production of "2:22 A Ghost Story."

She joins previously announced contestants Lacey Turner, Dani Dyer, Delta Goodrem, Chris Appleton, Cach Mercer, Will Best, and Dame Sarah Storey in the 2026 Strictly Come Dancing lineup.
