Jada Pinkett Smith has reportedly moved back in with her husband, Will Smith, approximately two years after they began living in separate residences. The couple, who revealed in October 2023 that they had been separated for seven years, are "happy and love each other and are, as ever, committed to supporting each other," a source told People.
The couple reportedly spent the Fourth of July together in Philadelphia, Will Smith's hometown, where he was scheduled to perform at the "One Philly: Unity Concert for America." Despite weather delays that pushed his performance to the early morning hours, Pinkett Smith was present backstage.
In October 2023, Pinkett Smith, 54, spoke about their separation to People, stating, "We’re still figuring it out. We’ve been doing some really heavy-duty work together. We just got deep love for each other, and we are going to figure out what that looks like for us."
She also shared in December of the same year that Will Smith's 2022 Oscars incident, where he slapped Chris Rock, was a pivotal moment for their relationship. "After all those years trying to figure out if I would leave Will’s side, it took that slap for me to see I will never leave him," she told the Daily Mail.
However, a source close to the couple told People in January 2025 that they were still maintaining separate homes, describing their situation as "living their own lives but haven’t completely severed ties."
Will Smith, 57, and Jada Pinkett Smith, 54, married in December 1997. They are parents to Jaden, 27, and Willow, 25. Smith also has a son, Trey, 33, from a previous marriage.
In recent years, the couple has made occasional public appearances together, including attending Paris Fashion Week last month to support their son Jaden. They were also seen together at celebrity hotspot Nobu in Malibu in September 2025, marking their first public outing in nearly a year at that time.
