Jackie Apostel, girlfriend of Cruz Beckham, marked the two-year anniversary of her extensive spinal surgery by posting a topless photograph on Instagram, showing her scar and encouraging followers to embrace theirs. Apostel, a 30-year-old Brazilian songwriter, suffers from scoliosis, a condition where the spine twists and curves.

In the post shared on Saturday, Apostel turned with her back to the camera to reveal the scar from her spinal fusion surgery. She captioned the image: "2 years ago today I had my full spinal fusion. never ever felt better and we love a cute scar. just a lil wear & tear." She also wrote, "Your scars are sexy."

Apostel was in Miami with the Beckham family, including Victoria, David, and her partner Cruz, at the time of the post. She was seen with them at the Inter Miami stadium on Friday night.

Spinal fusion is a surgical procedure designed to join two or more vertebrae. The aim is to reduce pain, correct spinal issues, and enhance stability. During the operation, a bone graft is placed between the vertebrae to limit excessive movement. This graft can be sourced from the patient, a donor, or be synthetic. Surgeons may also use screws and rods to secure the vertebrae.

Last year, Apostel shared details about her procedure, recounting the significant psychological fear she experienced while on medication and crediting her loved ones, including Cruz, for their support. She described the initial two weeks post-surgery as "absolute hell" but was motivated by her determination to return to her music studio within a month. She stated she was back in the studio 25 days after the surgery.

"Having someone check on you all the time, help you, love you," she wrote last year. "A year later, most days I forget I even did it. There’s days where I feel weird in my body, but everyone does."

Apostel emphasized the importance of a strong support system during recovery, noting that the mental aspect was the most challenging part of the surgery and healing process. She detailed experiencing anxiety, exacerbated by medication, which led to emotional distress and worry about her ability to remain productive.
