Actress Isla Fisher, 50, has disclosed a particular dating "ick" that deters her from intimacy, sharing the anecdote about a year after finalizing her divorce from Sacha Baron Cohen.
Fisher recounted the experience during an interview promoting her new film, "Spa Weekend." She explained that while she had taken a liking to someone, his reaction when his dog ran away proved to be a significant turn-off. "Instead of chasing upright, he ran low with his hands outstretched — like a cartoon," Fisher said, as noted in a video posted to the Overheard Happy Hour TikTok account.
The actress elaborated that "the ick was growing and growing" as she observed the situation. "By the time he caught the dog, he had lost the p—-y," she stated, a remark that visibly surprised her co-stars, including Michelle Buteau and Anna Faris.
This revelation follows Fisher's previous comments about turn-offs, which included backpacks and deck shoes. She also mentioned that men with a "terrible running stance" are a repellent, suggesting they could learn from actor Tom Cruise.
Fisher and Sacha Baron Cohen mutually announced the end of their 14-year marriage in late 2023, with their divorce finalized in June of the following year. Fisher has previously described the period after the split as "really challenging" and has spent the past year focusing on rebuilding her "sense of self."
In contrast to Fisher's approach to single life, reports indicated that Cohen, 54, had moved on with model Hannah Palmer, 27, within three months of their divorce being finalized. Fisher, who shares three children with her ex-husband, has focused on her work and personal well-being since the separation.
