Internet personality IShowSpeed is set to perform his song "World Cup Champions" at the closing ceremony of the World Cup, ahead of Sunday's final match. The announcement was made on Tuesday, with the streamer calling it "one of my most craziest achievements."

IShowSpeed, known for his energetic online presence, has been a notable figure during the tournament, hosting watch parties and providing official feeds of certain matches through his YouTube channel via a partnership with FIFA. His unique commentary style has resonated with his 52 million followers.

Chris Latchem, a presenter and commentator, suggested that FIFA's decision to involve IShowSpeed is a strategic move to engage younger audiences and attract legacy sports figures. "Fifa want him there because, in a weird roundabout way, he is attracting the legacy stars because they want to be around him because younger people, like their kids, are like, 'Oh wow, did you see Beckham was with Speed?'" Latchem stated.

Adding to his tournament experience, IShowSpeed also received a pair of game-worn boots from his idol, Cristiano Ronaldo.
