Formula One commentator Martin Brundle's pre-race grid walk at the British Grand Prix encountered an awkward moment when he mistakenly asked actor Hugh Grant about the television series "The Gentleman."

As Brundle made his way through the crowds at Silverstone on Sunday, he stopped Grant, who was attending as a guest of Ferrari. Brundle, a veteran Sky Sports F1 reporter, initiated a conversation by asking Grant if more seasons of "The Gentleman" were forthcoming, expressing his enjoyment of the show.

Grant clarified that he had appeared in the film adaptation of "The Gentleman" but had not seen the Netflix television series. Brundle, appearing sheepish, responded that the series was "really good" and that Grant "really must" watch it before the interview concluded abruptly.

This instance follows a previous viral moment from Brundle's grid walks. At the 2025 Singapore Grand Prix, Brundle mistook singer Lewis Capaldi for his brother. When Capaldi was present at the Silverstone grid, Brundle humorously inquired about his brother's whereabouts, and Capaldi confirmed his presence. Brundle then shared a hug with Capaldi, seemingly resolving the past misunderstanding.
