Holly Hagan has shared new Instagram images showing what she described as a two‑stone (about 30 pounds) weight loss and said her "biggest regret" was spending roughly £30,000 on cosmetic procedures she now views as a mistake.
The former Geordie Shore star, 33, posted side‑by‑side photographs showing her pre‑weight‑loss figure and her current physique, writing that she lost 30lb in six months postpartum while continuing to eat the foods she enjoys and exercising for roughly 20 minutes a day. She also said she has worked to "reduce" the effects of a Brazilian butt lift (BBL) through heavy resistance and aerobic sessions rather than further surgery.
In the Instagram post Hagan wrote that undergoing multiple surgeries felt like a quick fix at the time, but left her "botched" and out of pocket. She listed several procedures she has had over the years, including lip fillers, Botox, jaw and nose fillers, a non‑surgical bum lift and three breast augmentations. The BBL procedure usually involves extracting fat from one area of the body and transferring it to the buttocks.
Hagan said she was not educated about fitness and nutrition when she underwent the operations. "It only took ONE person to explain it to me in a way I could understand," she wrote, describing a programme that allowed her to eat chocolate and other preferred foods while losing weight. She promoted her app, Team Fitty, saying the programme aims to match calories to activity levels, encourage daily steps and provide community support for busy parents.
The MTV alum, who shares her son Alpha‑Jax Blyth with husband Jacob Blyth, added that finding a fitness routine that fits family life can be difficult. Alpha‑Jax was born in June 2023; Hagan and Jacob Blyth married the previous summer in Ibiza. In earlier posts she said she felt unhappy with her postpartum body after gaining weight following the birth.
In her update she described her approach as a combination of calorie control and focused exercise, and encouraged followers to consider education about diet and training rather than immediate cosmetic solutions. She framed the change as both physical and educational, saying she now uses her platform to help others understand sustainable approaches to body change.
Hagan's comments contribute to an ongoing public debate about cosmetic surgery, postpartum body image and social media's role in shaping perceptions of fitness and beauty. Medical professionals and patient advocacy groups have previously warned about the risks of procedures such as BBLs and the importance of informed consent and post‑operative care. Hagan did not provide detailed medical or procedural records in her post; she focused on her personal experience and the fitness programme she said helped her achieve the results.
The Instagram post included a video showing Hagan initially in a red Calvin Klein set and later in a brown bikini, which she said highlighted her toned figure after the weight loss. She concluded by encouraging followers to seek education on diet and exercise and to consider non‑surgical approaches before deciding on cosmetic interventions.
Hagan rose to public attention with MTV's Geordie Shore and has since maintained a presence on social media where she shares personal updates, fitness content and promotes her app. She has not announced any new cosmetic procedures since the post in which she described her past surgeries as her "biggest regret."
