Hilary Duff and her husband Matthew Koma joined friends Sofia Richie and Elliot Grainge for a double date at Nobu in London on Wednesday. The outing occurred ahead of Duff's scheduled performances at the O2 Arena on Thursday and the following Tuesday.
Duff, 38, appeared in high spirits during the dinner. She was seen laughing with Richie, 28, marking Richie's first public appearance since her father, Lionel Richie, was released from the hospital following an on-stage incident. The elder Richie is now recovering at home in Los Angeles.
Duff wore a Prada re nylon jacket, black jorts, and chunky heeled leather boots, accessorized with a Phoebe Philo handbag and Oliver Peoples x KHAITE sunglasses. Koma sported a brown plaid jacket, khaki T-shirt, and blue jeans, with a red baseball cap and red-lens sunglasses. Richie wore an oversized navy blazer, grey wide-legged trousers, black kitten heels, and a red scarf.
Duff and Richie share a connection through Richie's sister, Nicole, who is married to Duff's ex-boyfriend Joel Madden. Richie has described Duff as a friend for about seven years, noting their shared place in millennial culture. In a previous concert, Duff brought out Madden and his band Good Charlotte, her former romantic partner from 2004 to 2006. Despite the past relationship, the pair have maintained a cordial relationship, now even socializing with their respective spouses.
Madden and Nicole Richie have been together for nearly 20 years, marrying in December 2010. They have two children, daughter Harlow and son Sparrow. Duff married Koma in December 2019, four years after they met while working on her album "Breathe In, Breathe Out." They have three daughters: Violet Banks, Mae James, and Townes Meadow. Duff also has a son, Luca, from her previous marriage to former NHL player Mike Comrie.
Duff's "The Lucky Me Tour" began on June 21 in West Palm Beach, Florida. The tour is scheduled to continue through Europe in September, with stops in New Zealand and Australia in October, before concluding in Mexico in February 2027. Koma has been traveling with Duff and their children, occasionally joining her on stage during her breaks from touring as a guest guitarist and backup vocalist.
