The role of Henry Lasso, son of the titular character in the Apple TV+ series "Ted Lasso," has been recast for the show's fourth season. Grant Feely, a 14-year-old actor with previous credits including "Obi-Wan Kenobi" and "Five Nights at Freddy's," will now portray Henry.

Feely steps into the role previously held by Gus Turner, who played Ted's son throughout the first three seasons. The recasting comes as the series checks in with Ted Lasso back in Kansas City three years after his departure from AFC Richmond. Feely's other television and film appearances include "Creepshow," "Echoes," "Panhandle," "Space Blood," and "Chicago P.D."

Previous Portrayal of Henry Lasso

Prior to Feely's casting, Gus Turner portrayed Henry in Seasons 1 through 3. Turner, who was 12 years old at the time of the third season's wrap, has since appeared in projects such as "Loki" and "Lord of the Flies." He is also slated to appear as young Charles Trask in Netflix's upcoming "East of Eden."

Reasons for Recasting

While representatives for Apple and Warner Bros. TV declined to comment on the recasting when the news was first reported in March 2025, reports suggest the change may be linked to Henry's developing character arc. "A soccer fan throughout the first three seasons, Henry, now 12, has become a skilled soccer player himself," noted Deadline. Feely appears to be capable on the field, and his soccer skills may feature more prominently as Season 4 progresses.
