Helen Skelton and Gethin Jones traded lighthearted Instagram posts on Monday as the pair co‑hosted BBC Morning Live, renewing public interest in reports that their off‑screen relationship may have resumed.

Gethin Jones, 47, posted a photo of Skelton alongside an image of Toy Story character Woody with the caption, "Today's @bbcmorninglive host!" Skelton, 42, reposted the image. She was later photographed outside the Manchester studio smiling and dressed casually in jeans and a red jacket with a neck scarf, images seen by media outlets show.

The exchanges follow reports that the two were pictured having a lunch together last week. Media reports also say Jones offered Skelton an umbrella as they left the area around the studios and that Skelton was seen carrying two coffees the day Jones returned to work after the death of his father.

The pair have been linked in the press on and off since last year. Reports in May said their on‑screen chemistry had "blossomed" into a deeper connection after social time outside work, including a spa visit. At a charity event last year, some outlets described their behaviour as notably tactile. Their representatives declined to comment when asked about reports that they were seen leaving the Bafta awards together.

Skelton has been publicly single since her 2022 split from former husband Richie Myler. She has three children, Ernie, 9; Louis, 8; and Elsie, 4. Myler has since been reported to have a new partner and additional children. Jones has been spotted on a celebrity dating app, according to media reports.

Both Skelton and Jones continue to present BBC Morning Live together. The BBC did not immediately respond to requests for comment about the Instagram posts or the reports of a renewed relationship.

The social media exchange adds to a string of public moments that have attracted attention to the presenters' off‑screen relationship, but neither party has made a direct public statement about their personal status.
