Actress Helen George has separated from her boyfriend, Dan Innes, seven months after they moved in together. The 42-year-old star of the BBC series 'Call the Midwife' series had been dating Innes, 52, a property marketing agency boss, since March 2025.

Innes moved into George's West London home, where she lives with her two daughters, at the beginning of 2026. Photos this week showed Innes moving his belongings out of the residence. George was reportedly out on a dog walk during this time and later performed on stage in 'High Society' at the Barbican Theatre.

A source told The Sun that the couple had "gone their separate ways" after a "whirlwind romance" where their "differences became apparent," describing it as a "difficult time for them both."

George has recently shared posts on Instagram that appear to allude to heartbreak and the relationship's end. One post featured a picture of her daughter with the caption, "When the chaos leaves, the calm resumes." She also shared an online quote on her Instagram story stating, "I absolutely take responsibility for when I am wrong. But I will never apologise for responding to disrespect. If you lit the match, do not stand in the flames pretending to be the victim." Another repost read, "I don't want my daughter to be like me. I want her to speak up sooner. Walk away faster. Trust herself deeper. Apologise less. Take up more space. Ask bigger questions. Dream louder. And if that means she becomes everything I wasn't good."

Innes has reportedly deleted his Instagram account. Representatives for George have been contacted for comment.

George and Innes reportedly met on the dating app Raya. They spent Valentine's Day together in February 2026, with George documenting the occasion on her Instagram Stories, including a meal at The Waterman Arms in Barnes, South London, and a romantic getaway to Cornwall.

Innes had accompanied George to several industry events, including a 'Call the Midwife' screening in March 2026 and a Radio Times party in January 2026. Innes, a divorced father of two, has children aged 14 and 12 from his previous marriage, which ended in 2016.

George's previous long-term partner was actor Jack Ashton, with whom she shares her two daughters, Wren, eight, and Lark, four. They met on the set of 'Call the Midwife' in 2014 and split in 2023. Earlier this week, George spoke about co-parenting with Ashton, calling him an "incredible and reliable father."

George has previously spoken about the challenges of balancing motherhood with her stage career, acknowledging that she makes mistakes but emphasizes the importance of financial independence for women. She noted that her daughters often accompany her to work and observe her career.
