Actress Helen Flanagan has been navigating the challenges of moving house during a significant heatwave. The move comes shortly after the sale of a six-bedroom property in Lancashire, which she shared with her former fiancé, footballer Scott Sinclair. The couple, who share three children, finalized the sale of the mansion for £500,000 less than its initial asking price.

Flanagan, 35, took to Instagram on Thursday to document her experience, posting a video in gym wear with the caption, "Moving house in a heatwave" accompanied by a crying laughing emoji. The social media clip highlighted her discomfort amidst the high temperatures gripping the UK. The process of vacating the property began last month, and it remains unclear if Flanagan has been in temporary accommodation before settling into her new home this week.

Last month, as the family prepared to leave the residence, Flanagan shared a video with her children—Matilda, Delilah, and Charlie—and made a notable comment about their unit. She stated, "It's always been just us, just us 4," referring to herself and her children, despite Sinclair having also resided in the home. In her accompanying post, she reflected on finding herself in the house and emphasized the importance of teaching her children about life values, integrity, and authenticity. She affirmed her children would always be her priority.

The sale of the property has been a protracted process since the couple's split in 2022. Initially listed for £1.5 million in May of the previous year, the price was subsequently reduced multiple times before reaching £995,000. The property is now marked as sold on the real estate platform Rightmove. Land Registry documents reportedly list Scott Sinclair as the sole owner, suggesting he would receive a substantial portion of the sale proceeds.

Reports have also surfaced detailing a dispute between Flanagan and Sinclair over furniture, particularly a sofa that Flanagan had reupholstered at considerable expense. She reportedly attempted to sell the sofa for £3,950 via her Instagram, but Sinclair intervened, claiming ownership. Communications regarding the move and property matters have been described as strained, with conversations often conducted via email due to what a source described as a "toxic" relationship.

The former couple were together for 13 years before their breakup in 2022. Following their separation, Flanagan had expressed a desire to remain in the family home. However, Sinclair, who reportedly covered the house payments and bills, determined the six-bedroom residence was too large for Flanagan and their children alone. He had proposed purchasing a four-bedroom home for her, even offering to put it in her name, while ceasing maintenance payments. The breakdown of their relationship has been described as complete, with communication limited and reportedly managed through intermediaries.

The property itself is described as an "exceptional and beautifully presented detached family residence" offering over 5,000 square feet of living space. It features a commanding position with views across reservoirs and countryside, a sweeping driveway, a double garage, and well-manicured gardens. The interior includes a floor-to-ceiling window entrance hall, an open-plan living area, a modern kitchen, a formal dining room, five additional reception rooms, and six bedrooms, several with en-suite facilities.
