Heidi Klum attended Oktoberfest in Munich on Tuesday, wearing a traditional blue dirndl and sharing video of her visit to a Hofbräuhaus brewery.

The 52-year-old model and television host wore a dress with a low neckline over a puff-sleeve blouse that tied at the waist and fell into a full skirt. She completed the look with white heels, straightened hair and smoky-eye makeup. Earlier in the day she posted a clip to her Instagram account showing herself taking a long sip from a beer stein and speaking briefly in German.

In the Instagram post, Klum — who has about 12.5 million followers — held the stein to the camera after drinking and wrote, “Preparations for my Heidi festival at Hofbräuhaus München.” The footage accompanies widespread coverage of the annual Munich beer festival, where many attendees wear traditional Bavarian dress.

Klum, a judge on America’s Got Talent and a longtime L’Oréal Paris ambassador, has become known for elaborate costumes at her annual Halloween party in Manhattan. Last week she shared a short clip that appears to preview her 2025 Halloween look. The video showed special-effects makeup designer Michael Marino instructing Klum to bite down on a sheet of molding material as part of a facial prosthetic fitting.

Marino and his Prosthetic Renaissance team have provided prosthetics for a number of high-profile projects, including work on Colin Farrell’s portrayal in The Penguin, Sebastian Stan in A Different Man, Eddie Murphy in Coming 2 America, and projects with the Weeknd. Klum has previously collaborated with special-effects artists for dramatic public transformations.

Her 2024 Halloween costume saw Klum concealed inside a reproduction of E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. In 2023 she wore an earthworm costume while her husband, musician Tom Kaulitz, dressed as a fisherman. Over the years Klum has staged other attention-grabbing looks, including an anatomically correct Jessica Rabbit, an old woman, a skinless figure, a butterfly, a chimpanzee, Cleopatra and a Michael Jackson–inspired werewolf. In 2016 she briefly sent five models dressed to resemble her to an event as a prank.

Klum’s appearance in Munich comes during the run of Oktoberfest, which draws visitors to public tents and historic breweries such as Hofbräuhaus. Her social-media posts documenting the visit and the prosthetic makeup teaser continued a pattern of blending public appearances with promotion of seasonal and entertainment projects.

Photographs and short videos from fashion and entertainment events often circulate quickly on social platforms. Klum’s posts provided direct documentation of her attendance and of the preparatory work on her upcoming Halloween costume, reinforcing her ongoing role in both international fashion moments and seasonal pop-culture events.
