HBO has released a new full trailer for its upcoming "Harry Potter" series, set to premiere on December 25, 2026. The show aims to provide a more in-depth adaptation of J.K. Rowling's original book series, with each season dedicated to a single novel.
The cast includes Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, Alastair Stout, Arabella Stanton, John Lithgow, Janet McTeer, and Nick Frost as Hagrid. The trailer has generated significant online reaction since its release.
This new television adaptation follows the immense success of the original book series and subsequent film franchise. HBO's approach of dedicating a full season to each book is intended to allow for a deeper exploration of the narrative, particularly the shift towards darker themes present in the later installments of Rowling's work.

Expectations for the series are high, given the beloved source material and the potential for a more detailed adaptation than the films were able to achieve. Viewers will be able to see the series beginning on Christmas Day 2026.
