Hailey Bieber on Saturday shared a short black-and-white Instagram Story showing herself doing what she described as a "fave rib flare exercise," offering a rare look at her postpartum workout routine more than a year after the birth of her first child.
The 28-year-old model and Rhode founder filmed herself in a sports bra and biker shorts in what appeared to be a home gym, performing crunches on a yoga mat while holding a yoga block. She set the clip to her husband Justin Bieber's song "SPEED DEMON," tagged personal trainer Kirsty Godso and wrote that she had "did lots of these to help correct rib flare after pregnancy."
The post arrived weeks after Hailey and Justin Bieber celebrated their son, Jack Blues Bieber, turning 1, a milestone that marked roughly a year since the model gave birth. In interviews earlier this year, Hailey described the postpartum period as the "most sensitive time" she had experienced and said she felt "high highs and low lows," including bouts of self-hatred when confronting how her body had changed.
Speaking to Vogue in May, she said losing the last 15 pounds gained in pregnancy took longer than she expected and that she worked with a team of specialists on foundational recovery, including pelvic floor care and spinal and core realignment. She has also discussed a varied fitness routine that includes strength training, pilates — both hot and reformer — sculpt classes, yoga, saunas, cold plunges, chiropractic work, breath work and extensive stretching. She has said she also treats herself to facials, massages and microneedling as part of her overall wellness regimen.
Hailey has publicly addressed the cultural pressure to "bounce back" after pregnancy, questioning the premise of returning to a former body. "When people talk about 'bouncing back' — back where, because my hips are wider, my boobs are actually bigger than they were before," she told Vogue. "You're not the same person that you were before. You change head to toe. And I think there was a minute where I kept really hyper‑fixating on getting back to what I was. And then I had to go through that acceptance of, I'm not going back. So it's really about how do I want to move forward? Who do I want to be?"
The Instagram clip emphasized exercises aimed at rib alignment and core function, areas clinicians and postpartum recovery specialists commonly address as part of restoring core stability after pregnancy. Hailey has previously said she rotates modalities to maintain strength and shape, noting a preference for strength work because she "likes having a butt," alongside pilates and sculpt classes.
Her social posts and interviews have tracked a transition from the early, emotionally charged months after childbirth to a more structured recovery and fitness routine. The recent Story was one in a series of public glimpses into that process, shared alongside candid reflections on body image and the practical steps she said she and her care team used to rebuild strength and posture following pregnancy.
