Gwen Stefani is mourning the loss of her beloved dog, Betty, who passed away at the age of 18. The singer announced the news on Instagram, sharing a montage of photos and videos of the black and tan hound.
"It's with the heaviest hearts that we share our sweet Betty has gone to heaven," Stefani wrote in her tribute, accompanied by broken heart, dove, and paw print emojis. "She made us all smile for 18 years… we're going to miss her forever. Thank you Betty for all the love + joy you brought into our lives."
The montage included images of Betty with Stefani's husband, Blake Shelton, and their youngest son, Apollo. Videos showed the dog running around the couple's ranch in Tishomingo, Oklahoma, lounging in the sun, and receiving treats from Shelton. Betty also famously appeared in the 2019 music video for Stefani and Shelton's duet "Nobody But You."

Stefani, 56, frequently shared clips of Betty joining her and Shelton on golf cart rides around their 1,300-acre Ten Point Ranch in Oklahoma. The property has become a haven for a variety of animals, including other pets and livestock.

Although Betty may have originally belonged to Shelton, he previously joked that the dog's strong affection for Stefani made her practically Stefani's dog. "She gets jealous. She's Gwen's dog now, so that's where the jealousy comes in," Shelton told CMT. Stefani, however, maintained that Betty "loves both of her parents very much."
The couple, who met as coaches on The Voice in 2014 and began dating in 2015, celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary on July 3.
